Pitch Clock Box
A small, cheap pitch clock and count display for rec and youth games, built from an LED panel and a microcontroller.
The idea
The pitch clock changed the major league game. A portable clock and count display that a volunteer can run from a phone would bring it to local fields for the price of a few parts.
First version
- An LED panel showing the clock, balls, strikes and outs.
- Controlled from a phone over Bluetooth, with big buttons for one-handed use.
- Runs on a battery pack for a full doubleheader.
